- In Kisielany, you can park your car on the dirt road on the right side when driving from the village, just before the bridge.
-In Mokobody you can leave your car in the center of the town, about 1,600 meters from the river or at the bridge. However, parking at the bridge is not that convenient
-In Męczyn, it is possible to access the river itself from the north by driving from the village through the forest towards the river, or in the village of Wólka Proszewska on the exit road to the river.
-In Urle you can park on the beach at the starting point of the trip.
-In Kamieńczyk we park in one of the parking lots in the town.
On the Liwiec River, due to the high degree of overgrowth of the river bed and the low water level in the upper reaches of the river, we start our trips at the bridge in Kisielany and end in Kamieńczyk after reaching the Bug River on its left bank. The route is divided into 12 sections. The total length is 107 kilometers. During the holiday season, the water level in Liwiec is very low. Starting the trip in Kisielany, you flow in a deep, narrow riverbed until you reach Męczyn. The river is relatively deep here, often exceeding 2 meters even in June. Unfortunately, the number of convenient places to go out is limited. There are few beaches and they are very small. However, on the estuary section between the towns of Urle and Kamieńczyk, there is no shortage of beaches suitable for rest or camping.
The Liwiec River is perfect for learning kayaking. I recommend this river for beginners who are starting their adventure in this sport.
During the holiday season, the water level in Liwiec is very low. For this reason, rafting trips are often not possible.
The main difficulties are protruding limbs and branches. In late spring and summer, the water level can be very low, making swimming difficult. Numerous shoals force you to drag the kayak to a deeper part of the riverbed.
